AOL is to partner with Last.FM to distribute music across Europe and create the largest online Radio community in the world, overnight, through the relaunched AOL Radio service.

The Radio, listed on radio.aol.co.uk, will offer millions of tracks to users through a streaming solution and will cover UK, Germany and France initially with more countries added to the list in the coming months.

AOL Radio Users will be able to listen to artists and those sharing the same genre from the comfort of their browsers as well as looping any music or tracks that they've listened.

The service will learn the users taste and propose similar music in a bid to keep the listener hooked to the service.

Other services include the ability to access extra content like videos, pictures, events and possibly sell CDs, tracks, ringtones, concert tickets and related accessories.

Martin Stiksel, co-founder of Last.fm, which has been purchased by CBS last year for £140m, said: "We can offer a unique music discovery and listen-again service with the millions of tracks in our catalogue, allowing us to bring interactivity to online radio sites like AOL's."
