Orange to launch Liveradio, a wireless Internet-based radio device
Telecoms company Orange has announced that it will soon be launching an Internet-based radio device, called Liveradio, that could be used to access more than 4,000 radio stations across the globe.

The launch of this Internet-based radio will mark the beginning of a host of entertainment products planned by the broadband provider.

Mike Newnham, Vice President of Home at Orange UK, said in a statement that the Internet radio market in the United Kingdom is expanding at an increasingly rapid pace and the home Internet pedigree of Orange in the UK places the company well in this race.

Further, it was announced that Liveradio will work in sync with a custom-designed website for Orange users and will be available for purchase at £99 either online or from Orange music stores.

Liveradio will allow users to register their preferences and add their favourite stations to the Favourites list.

It would also allow users to bookmark their favourite songs and then purchase them from the online Orange music store.

Further, it was also announced that the company will continue its support of the media through the Orange Film Funding Board.
