Microsoft’s lead evangelist for server and tools, John Martin, has said online in a blog post that the following week, Microsoft will release a preview version of this new social bookmarking site for TechBet and MSDN and showcase the site at the TechEd conference the week after.
While the preview will not be fully functional, it will allow the site’s users to bookmark any URL on the Web, save these bookmarks in a new my bookmarks tool, apply the tags, and let users surf through all bookmarks, bookmarkers, and tags (enabled as links) to discover new content and people; however, the preview would support English only.
Microsoft had earlier launched a beta version of a similar social bookmarking service, TagSpace, in 2007, but this site could not be used by many Firefox users and is currently down.
