A collaborative study between IBM, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and Google has revealed that approximately 41 percent of users are still not bothered about the browser security updates.
The analysis was performed by the group utilizing the user information available on the Google database.
The main focus of the analysis was to find out how often browser patches are applied by the end-users.
The researchers also found out that the use of outdated web browsers is the main cause of growing number of Web-based attacks.
The study revealed that only Mozilla Firefox users were found to be using most stable and secure versions of the web browser.
As per the reports, approximately 83.3% of the Firefox were found to have installed the latest version of web software and this is because Mozilla offers the most quickest and painless patch process so far.
