In what is termed as the first ever iPhone Games Developer course, the Australian multimedia college Qantm plans to offer courses in game design that aim to help students design games specifically tailored towards the iPhone.

The proposed course is likely to cover numerous aspects related to developing games on the iPhone platform like memory management, Flash and other related aspects.

The college is currently trying to work with Apple to gain an official recognition and in a related statement Nic Oliver from Qantm mentioned “We're working really closely with Apple on this course and they are being very supportive.”

With the gaming industry experiencing a rapid growth and with over a hundred million downloads taking place just through the Apple’s App store; the course is likely to find many takers.

The course will initially be launched from Qantm’s London based college from February next year and is expected to cost around four thousand pounds.
