LG's Launches Their 8-megapixel KC780 Camera Phone

Shortly after releasing the LG Renoir (AKA KC910), here comes LG's other 8-megapixel camera phone, the KC780, which as its numeration indicates, is slightly less advanced compared to its big brother.

It is roughly around 14mm thick, packs a large 2.4-inch Widescreen LCD, Schneider-Kreuznach certified lenses and of course, a 8-megapixel camera sensor under the hood, with an expected release date next month.

Its high resolution means that it should be able to record videos at near HD resolutions (expect 640x480 pixels). Other camera features include ISO1600 sensibility, face detection, image stabilise, smile detection and beauty mode to remove "spots and imperfections" (ed: that's should probably the phone's main selling point).

In what is probably a first, the phone can also be used as a webcam should you connect it to your PC or laptop; now that's a idea unless you are expecting a phone call.

Then, like Apple's iPhone, the KC780 has some motion sensing gaming features - although that couldn't be its forte..
